Sense of Urgency

Due to the relatively slow start to my animating i find myself playing catch up, and with that game comes a enormous sense of urgency. One that has me throwing up ideas left and right, on anything that resembles paper  even countertops and walls. sketch somethin up, take a picture put it on paper when i get a chance.

   

Now i am here with 1 year and half to go with little to show comparatively and a steep hill to climb. My goal now...complete 3 animated shorts within that time frame, made up of enough quality footage to make a killer 3-minute demo reel.

Ive got my concepts and ideas running rampant throughout my folders and sketchbooks and mind...the groundwork is laid...time to implement my plan for total world takeover...through animation that is...

Space Alone   is  touching short with a nice little twist, the title leads one to believe the "astronaut" is the one who is alone in space and searching for other sings of life. The "twist comes when our astronaut does find life on a planet.
As for the animation and production aspect of the film, the story is definitely effective in establishing an emotional connection to the viewer with the switch in role reversal for the one who feels alone.  simplicity in the animations while using what seems to be a combination of Flash and After Effects.
